NEW YORK – March 5, 2014 – MUJI U.S.A. LIMITED today announced that a MUJI US New Store will open in Santa Monica, California, in late spring. The store named MUJI Santa Monica will be located at 2936 Main Street. With approximately 6,300 square feet of retail floor space, MUJI’s second store in Sothern California will offer a wide range of popular MUJI products including foods, MUJI Labo and Found MUJI.
MUJI offers good quality products such as a wide variety of stationery, household items and apparel at reasonable prices. Mujirushi Ryohin,“MUJI” in Japanese means “no-brand quality goods”. The value of the MUJI product is in its effectiveness without the renowned brand or designer name. The essence of MUJI products lies in its simplicity, flexibility and modesty to fit different life styles and individual preferences.
MUJI Santa Monica will be the ninth MUJI store in the US. The first store, MUJI SOHO (NYC), opened in 2007, followed by MUJI Times Square (NYC), MUJI to GO at John F. Kennedy International Airport Terminal 5; MUJI Chelsea (NYC) in 2008; MUJI SOMA (San Francisco) in 2012; and MUJI Cooper Square (NYC) and MUJI San Jose, MUJI Hollywood in 2013.
