New York, New York – Japanese lifestyle brand, MUJI is delighted to announce the opening of their first Brooklyn location, in the one of New York City’s most prominent arts and culture districts, Williamsburg on September 8, 2017.

The 7,300 sq. ft store will offer a wide range of MUJI’s signature line of products including: apparel, kitchenware, tableware, furniture, interior and storage accessories, stationery, skincare and travel items. “MUJI is delighted to open our first ever Brooklyn location in Williamsburg” said Toru Tsunoda, President of MUJI USA. “As the neighborhood is home to young families and collectives of innovators, artists and design-conscious individuals, this area perfectly encapsulates the types of communities that continue inspire our brand and inform our design processes. We’re excited to finally become part of this vibrant district.”

Following the forthcoming re-opening of MUJI’s SoHo location, the Williamsburg store will be the retailer’s seventh store in the Greater New York City area. MUJI Williamsburg will see the brand collaborate with local artists and artisans on upcoming projects that pay homage to Brooklyn’s vibrant creative scene and connect with the diverse families that inhabit it.

MUJI Williamsburg will be one of a number of upcoming store openings this year as the brand celebrates its 10th year anniversary in the U.S., including the reopening of the SoHo store, which temporarily shuttered in March for a store refurbishment, which will open this fall.
